OUR CLUB IN THE COMMUNITY
In 2020, our country was disrupted by the pandemic that was COVID 19. During this time the number of blood donations were impacted so as a club we decided to band together and create a team to increase our efforts in becoming donors and donating regularly when possible. The Spurs invited all members of the club, their supporters, friends and family to join our team and you can too by following these simple steps.
Step 1: Register/Create an account at https://www.donateblood.com.au or log in to your existing account.
Step 2: Once logged in, click the top right hand corner to find the Team drop down menu.
Step 3: Click on the My Team option and add yourself to our group by searching ‘Victoria University Western Spurs’

GUIDE DOGS VICTORIA
Since 2014 the Spurs have held an annual fundraising event for Guide Dogs Victoria. As pictured, we don the Guide Dogs orange and have all senior teams play on one day to raise awareness and collect donations for Guide Dogs Victoria.
In the past the money raised from raffles, donations and merchandise purchases have contributed towards a range of services and support programs that empower Victorians with low vision.
On the day, a Spur from each team is awarded a special Best on Ground, Guide Dogs Round trophy. You can check out what players have taken home the trophy below.
